Buddy is our primary puppy maker. He and Cinder are working on their fourth litter of pups. Buddy began his journey at RLS in the Fall of 2011. He is a Broken Circle BC dog, son of BC Wizz and Goodwin Reba. He is was main ranch hand for over 10 years. He is slowing down, and enjoying his mostly retired life with lots of pets and free tractor rides whenever he wants them!
Gracie is our senior girl. She is a Buddy/Peg cross and she can chase cows, on her own time. She works well, if she wants to. She loves to run and is still second fastest at the ranch (Booger is built like a greyhound). She will take Booger with her and try to teach her a few things. Mostly
they run together. She is a beautiful girl, that will offer mostly a growl unless she knows you well.
Cinder was purchased online from the Red Bluff Gelding, Bull and Stock Dog Sale, 2019. She is trained as a trial dog, and will work when needed. She’s got a gentle, loving nature in the house, but with the cattle it’s a different story. She’s been known to make the cows trip over
themselves. We can always tell when she gets out by mistake, the cows get loud. She’s discovered that the cows are dog-trained, and her aggressiveness isn’t always needed. She’s a wonderful dog, and she makes beautiful puppies with Buddy.
Clancy is from Cinder-Buddy’s first litter. He’s a bit foreboding in appearance, but he’s as gentle with people as he can be. We kept him to be Buddy’s trainee, and he’s learning. It helps when he has a bit of competition. Clancy is a big boy, with a gentle way. He’s got bite when needed, and he has most everything figured out.
Booger is from the accidental litter, when Cinder broke Buddy out of the barn. Who knew that BCs could open up barn stalls? Booger is a finer BC than her parents/brothers. She loves the going out and helping Cinder move cattle. She is eager to learn most everything, even a few
tricks. She’s very well-mannered and loves her kids (Sawyer and Taysom). Her very favourite thing to do is to watch a good dog video or listen to 80s music.
Buzz is the baby, from the last litter. He’s Booger and Clancy’s big, little brother. He’s got character like no other and loves to be the center of attention. He’s very easy to fall in love with, and get knocked over by all in a minute or less. He’s learning to be polite while inside, and to do a few tricks. He started showing interest in chasing cattle when he was less than three months old. We let him try sometimes, and eventually he will be one of our main helpers.
